The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

The Statistical Probability of Love at First SightWho would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.

Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Or maybe that you can fall in love with someone even if you met him or her a week ago? I sure do! The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight explores this topic. Can it really happen? Is it love? How do you know if it’s real? How can one measure love? I think love is love, NO matter what. Huh, I kind of went a bit off topic here.

Anyway, this book is more about destiny than anything else. It was mind blowing to learn that 4 minutes can change everything! We don’t realize that sometimes we don’t have control over what’s going to happen next. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is a cute love story and fast paced read. You should stop what you are doing now, find a copy and read it NOW!

  1. I absolutely adored this book. I read it in one day I just couldn't put it down. I definitely believe in love at first sight. Whoever doesn't needs to read this book, their minds will easily change. It's still amazing this whole story took place in 24 hours. So many things happen throughout this book. The love story part was oh so sweet. Oliver was such a gentleman and really funny with all his random remarks. Hadley was easy to connect with, she is someone anyone could be friends with. There was so much more to this story than just love and everything was put together just right. I will definitely be reading this book many more times to come.
