Virtual chair #15: Danielle from Coffee and Characters

Today sitting on the Virtual Chair is Danielle from Coffee and Characters. You can follow her on Twitter, Facebook and don't forget to visit her awesome site!

  • Who’s your favorite villain?

My favorite villain is Bram Stoker's Dracula because his character has inspired so many terrific books like Jeaniene Frosts' Night Prince series, though Bellatrix from Harry Potter is a close runner up. I love how nutty she is.

  • Vampires or Angels?

This is a tough one. Can't I have both? Ahh okay okay I suppose I will go with Angels. I keep picturing Jason from Archangel's Storm by Nalini Singh. I don't think you could get much better than him! Though Galen from Angel's Dance is a close runner up. There are just so many to choose from!

  • Do you ever read the ending of a book before finishing it?

No Never! Okay thats a lie. I use to read the ending first when I was assigned books in middle school that I had ziltch interest in but now Never! Though I have read books out of turn in a series (by accident) and that may be just as bad.

  • Describe your blog in 3 words.

Caffeinated Paranormal Addicts. Because if you love coffee and all things paranormal than you're in the right spot at Coffee and Characters

  • Name one thing that would make you not finish a book:

Snobby and Selfish teenage dialogue. I have read and enjoyed many YA novels but those with the stuck up brat character where their internal dialogue takes off on a stupid tangent 'all about me' drives me nuts and will send the book straight to my DNF pile

  • What's your least favorite thing about book blogging?

Turning down review request. I always feel awful when I have to say no and I HATE telling someone that their book just doesn't do it for me. I know authors put so much time and effort into their work that I hate to be the one to say sorry it isn't my cup of tea or sorry but I'm just too busy right now.

  • What do you think of love triangles in Young Adult books?

They are amazing if done properly. The love triangle in the Hunger Games is great, Twilight triangle awesome as well. The love triangle(s) in the P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast series just make Zoey out to be slut. So I like them, they keep things interesting but I don't want the characters I'm reading about sleeping with every new boy that comes along either.

  • Who’s your favorite character of all time?

My all time favorite character is Kate Daniels from Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels Series (Magic Bites, Magic Bleeds ect...) She is funny, a kick ass heroine, and she doesn't take crap from anyone. I love her so much I wish she was real and could be my BFF

  • How often do you visit Goodreads?

Atleast Daily, usually multiple times a day. I'm a member of several groups and also have my own group on GR called of course... Coffee and Characters so I check Gr pretty often

  • Ghosts or Zombies.

What would scare you most? Zombies! Can't do them. I know there is a crazy obsession with the T.V. series The Walking Dead and I've never seen it just because I know Zombies are in it and they scare the Hell out of me. They're the one thing that gives me nightmares so its sad to say but I don't watch or read anything with lots of Zombies in it. The closest I get is Meljean Brooks's Iron Seas books that have small glimpses of zombies on rare occassion because well, Zombies EAT people! Thats just creepy! I don't want to be eaten lol

  1. Haha omg my friend always reads the final few pages when she gets like 1/4 of the way because she's too impatient. And GAH it drives me bananas!! I so could not do it that it would ruin so many great endings!! For review requests, start doing like I had to: I put a notice on my review policy that said I would only reply if I accepted to review. Saves time and annoyance of having to come up with a reason why you're not interested ;)

  2. Nice to meet you, Danielle. I'm zombies kind of girl. I think it's because the books are a great survival self-help kind of thing. They prepare me for the inevitable demise of the human race. Yes, yes. I'm morbid. Lol.
