When I realized Play was out I put everything I was doing aside to give it my undivided attention.This series is so much fun, original and hot. I loved the first book in the series and after finishing it I became a fan of Kylie Scott. Her writing is addicting and entertaining. Scott definitely knows how to write awesome and relatable characters. The thing about Anne and Mal is that they don't feel like they are a copy of other characters. We don't see a lot of original characters in the NA genre. And these characters are definitely unique.

Something that had me hooked on this book was the hero. I've never read a book with such a goofy and unpredictable hero before. Mal had me guessing what he was going to do next until the end. Anne was perfect for him. She was the total opposite from him. They complimented each other well. Anne and Mal weren't the only characters to shine in Play. We get a glimpse of what's to come in the next books and I can't wait. 

Play was a fun and easy read. There was very little drama but the sexual tension between the characters was sizzling hot! This series is a must read!

I few reviews ago I mentioned that audiobooks help me get into books that I wouldn't usually read. Written in Red is one of those book. I know for a fact wouldn't have finished it if I read it. That would've been sad because this book was the bomb. I'm not very picky when it comes to narrators. As long as I understand what they're saying I'm good. I have to admit, though, that the narrator sounded a bit bland, but I got used to her voice pretty quickly. Other than that I enjoyed the audiobook very much. 

I feel that Written in Red is the book I've been looking for. I always wanted to read a book with lots of world building but not boring. That is exactly what this book is. World building and character development. I was so fascinated by it. The Others were so vivid and not your typical shape-shifters, these creatures are more their animal counterpart than human, which I found refreshing. I would have to say that the crows were my favorite. The way the talked and behaved got a few chuckles out of me. Also, I read in many reviews that it gets kind of confusing with all the characters and the constant change of POVs, but I didn't have a problem with that. I was so into this book and the story that I didn't mind the different POVs or the amount of characters. 

For some reason, I thought there was going to be heavy romance in the book. But I was wrong. There were hints of romance in the next books but not in this one. And, you know what? I didn't mind one bit. I was so involved in Meg's daily routines and her getting used to The Others that I didn't even notice. Meg was such and amazing character. I could be in her mind for hours and I wouldn't mind. I've never read a character quite like her. I was mesmerized with everything she did. I'm in love with this book and its characters. 

If you are an impatient person like me, I think you'll be better off with listening to the audiobook and if you don't mind slow and rich books then go for it. It doesn't matter what kind of reader you are, you definitely have to give this one a try.

Most of the time I have a hard time with sci-fi books. Which is silly because most of them are super exciting and fast paced. I'm just not a big fan of the genre. I only picked this one up because I adore Sarah Fine! She wrote Guards of the Shadowlands which by the way is one of my favorite series ever. So I had to give Scan a try. I was definitely not disappointed.

Right from the get go I couldn't put this book down. It was fast paced and action packed. The first few pages I was a little frustrated with Tate's dad. He was strict about everything! It made me feel bad for Tate but in the end it was for his own good. He's character development amazed me. This kid was so smart and brave. I don't know what I would have done in his place, really. The secondary characters were interesting and amazing, as well. Scan was overall a win.

I recommend Scan 100% to all kinds of readers. Fine and Jury wrote an amazing book and I wouldn't want you guys to miss out!

I’m torn about this book. I do have to warn you of some mild spoilers. Read at your own risk.

Colleen Hoover is such a talented writer. She had me hooked from page one. Her writing is so addicting that it was hard for me to put the book down for a few minutes. I have been taking forever with books lately and Maybe Someday is the first book in months that I have finished in one sitting. And let’s not forget about the music! Griffin Peterson took this book to the next level. Listening to the music in the book made everything feel real.

I was actually enjoying the book until about 50% in. Everything seemed innocent enough until it wasn’t. I don’t know if this is considered a spoiler but beware. Before I got into the book I knew that Ridge was in a happy relationship with another girl. But that he would eventually develop feelings for Sydney. But then everything got a little bit out of hand. I don’t know about you, but I’m totally against cheating. Sydney and Ridge don’t want to hurt Maggie (Ridge’s girlfriend) so they acknowledge their feelings but decide not to act on it. And that is where I have a problem. It does not matter that you are not acting on your emotions. If you are in a relationship and you know you are close to cheating on your partner either let them know and break up or get away from the person that will destroy your relationship. I know it was not easy for Ridge to break up with Maggie, but I still consider what he had with Sydney cheating. Call it emotional cheating. I think that’s the term, right?

The weird love triangle wasn’t the only problem for me. Towards the end Ridge starts to act like an asshat and Sydney still supports him. She makes a bunch of excuses for him and I was not ok with that. There were a lot of things said that I didn’t agree with and where such a turn off for me. That part of the book overwhelms everything else. There 're great scenes in the book and Ridge is a very romantic guy but I couldn’t ignore the part where he was still with someone else. I really tried to ignore it, but my heart was totally against everything this book stands for. My brain in the other hand was trying, as Sydney, to make excuses for what was going on. But I just couldn’t.

I love Colleen and I loved what she and Griffin did with the book. I just can lie and give this book a good review. It hurts me to not be raving about how good it was because believe me guys, the writing and pace were great. But the situation and the characters didn’t do it for me. I know I’m the minority here. There 're 900+ five stars reviews on amazon saying how great this book was. I bet most of you will enjoy it. And you know what? I hope you do, because I wish I had.

P.S. Has this happened to you guys? Where one detail in the plot ruins the whole book? I wish I didn't care as much but I just kept putting my self in Maggie's position and honestly it made me hate Sydney as much as I hated Ridge.

I've been wondering why it took me almost three weeks to finish this book and I think I figured out why. I'm not a fan of forbidden love. I tolerate it, but when the odds seem to be 100% against the couple I find that I can't enjoy the book fully. I need some kind of hope. While reading The Winner's Curse I didn't see any hope for Kestrel and Arin. He's a slave she's the enemy, that's it. I was afraid for them. Afraid that I was going to end up loving these characters only to have my heart broken in the end. There was a point in the book where I wish I could hate them. But that was impossible.

This book made me feel confused. I knew what side (of the war, can you call it that?) I was on but I couldn't help but love and care for some of the characters in the other side. Just like Arin I fell in love with Kestrel, she was kind and real and so unlike her kind. Arin was an amazing character, as well. I also want to see more of the secondary characters in the next book, they gave this book life. Even the characters that weren't so good made this world real.

One of the things that made this book a great read was the writing. It was so beautiful! I do have to say, though, that the pace was a little slow for my taste, but it goes well with the story. I can't wait to see what happens next.

My final verdict is that this book is worth it. I started to see hope in the end and that makes me excited for the next book. That last sentence made me want to cry, it was so beautiful and to the point. I just love when books end in a powerful note.
