Daimon by Jennifer L. Armentrout

17 year old Alex is a Half-Blood. (Daughter of a Pure blood and a mortal) She and her mom left the Covenant 3 years ago, and have been moving from town to town constantly. Alex's mother never explained why they left the covenant, but what she does know is that she is not supposed to go back!

Life in Miami is not bad. She lives near the beach and has a HOT boyfriend. But an unfortunate event forces Alex to go on the run again. This time she is being chase by Daimons. With just a couple hundred bucks in her pocket and no place to go, Alex finds her only choice is to go back to the place she and her mom left 3 years ago: the Covenant.

My Thoughts:

I totally loved Daimon. It was short, but that’s completely understandable because Daimon is the prequel to the first book in the Covenant series title Half Blood. There was action, humor and I was afraid at times (‘cause Daimons are scary). There wasn’t a lot of dialogue but it was perfect for me because the way Alex thinks is entertaining, and you get to know her better. I found Daimon exciting and the author gives you hints that there's more important stuff coming Alex’s way. I think this prequel is a little taste of pure awesomeness coming our way in September 2011.
