Melanie Stryder is one of the few remaining “wild” humans in the world. Earth has been invaded by beings from another planet. They take over human bodies and the human that used to belong to that body fades away, but when Wanda is inserted in Melanie’s body she refuses to fade away. Melanie starts to show Wanda images of the man she loves and convinces Wanda to go look for the place where he’s hiding. Wanda and Melanie start this dangerous journey to find the man they love knowing that they have to work together to not get caught by the seekers.

This book took me 2 months to finish it. I thought it was going to be like twilight but with adults in it and aliens instead of vampires, but I was wrong. Is a little bit more complicated than your typical science fiction/romance novel. Is hard to get into and not an easy read, but when you get past chapter 5 is so worth to finish it. I learn to love Wanda and Melanie separately and I didn’t have a clue how the book was going to end, and that’s one of the things I loved most of this book.
